Pathway Volunteer Survey Equipping the church to serve each other and reach our community 1 Corinthians 12: 4‐6 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.   Our Goal: Every person volunteering in at least ONE ministry Our Limit: No person volunteering in more than FOUR areas There is always plenty to do in the ministry of an active church.  We have many new things on the horizon and other ministries we would love to start.  But first we need to take care of our current volunteer needs along with a couple of new opportunities.  Below is a list of current volunteer needs @ Pathway.  We would like everyone to fill out this survey between now and Sunday, July 31st.  You can print off a paper copy of this form and drop it in the offering box.  Just take a few minutes or however long you need to think & pray about somewhere God can use you in the ministry of our church.  Then fill out the survey however you choose by Sunday, July 31st.  Your commitment to most volunteer areas should be no more than once per month. You will only serve once per month.   Sunday Pre‐K Teacher (5 people needed)      *must be a church member You will prepare and teach the lesson with the aid of a helper. Lesson and craft material is all provided.  You will only serve once per month.   Sunday Pre‐K Helper (5 people needed) Simply help the teacher manage kids with the lesson and craft time. You will only serve once per month.   Kids Teacher: 1st—4th grades (5 people needed)      *must be a church member You will prepare and teach the lesson with the aid of a helper.  Lesson and craft material is all provided.  You will only serve once per month.   Kids Helper: 1st—4th grades (5 people needed) Simply help the teacher manage kids with the lesson and craft time. You will only serve once per month.   Sunday Welcome Team (16 people needed) Greet visitors at the door, hand out programs w/ connection cards, lead people to where they need to go if they have children.   Thrive Lunch Staff (4 needed) Currently the Chastains and Whittingtons take care of this but we want to free them up at least once per month to be involved in other ministries. You will prepare a meal and feed around 30 students @ the Thrive House.  Descriptions of New Pathway Ministries Transportation Volunteer (5 needed) Help pick up those who need a ride to Sunday worship.  It is best if there are two people in the car.  You will need to pick them up on your way to Pathway around 9:45.   Thrive Family Host (10 households needed) For the months of September, October, November & February, March, April you will welcome a new group of 3‐4 students into your home once a month to provide a meal for them. If you want to do more, that is up to you.        We are undergoing a new small group campaign this September. It will be 4 weeks with everyone in the church involved.  Our goal is to increase our small group participation, reach new people, and help broaden the relationships within Pathway. More information is available online on the Connect → Small Groups tab.  September Small Group Leader      * must be a church member Everyone will use the same material. You will attend a training session on August 20th and lead 4 weeks of small group discussion starting the week of September 5th.   September Small Group Anchor Your role is to not only commit to attending but to be in charge of contacting everyone in the group each week during the month. Keep everyone informed, invite others, send notes of encouragement.   So What If You Feel Led to Serve In an Area Not Listed Here.... If there’s a ministry or type of service you would like to be involved in that isn’t listed here, let us know.  We have various opportunities for outreach, community service, special needs ministry, along with multiple opportunities coming after the addition of our building in the fall.  But let us know if there’s something you would like to start now.  We need to take care of these first, but we’re always ready to equip you to serve.
